Robert Miller has over thirty years experience in the fields of interior architecture and building renovation work. He started the firm of Robert M. Miller + Associates in 1984 after serving as Executive Vice President of Corporate Architecture for Rogers, Burgun, Shahine & Deschler from 1972 to its inception. He currently is President of Miller Savarese Associates.
Mr. Miller has overseen the construction of over two million square feet of commercial office interiors as well as serving in the capacity of building architect for numerous office buildings in New York. In the latter capacity, he is often responsible for the preparation of the prerequisite analyses and budgets required for lease transactions on behalf of the landlords with whom he works. Among his major clients are Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, Liberty Mutual Group, Federal Express and Automatic Data Processing.
He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia, a Masters Degree in Architecture from Cornell University and did post-graduate studies at the University of Stuttgart while working as an assistant on the engineering team which designed the Munich Olympic stadia roof systems. He is licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, the District of Columbia and Virginia as well as possessing NCARB certification. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Mr. Miller has appeared in numerous publications including the New York Times and Buildings Magazine and has received awards for excellence in the renovation and modernization of office buildings such as 345 Madison Avenue and 192 Lexington Avenue. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the New York State Association of Architects and the New York Board of Trade.
